  • Can you make an RR3 at 24 fret guitar

Is there any possible way to add 2 more frets to an RR3 Rhoads to make it 24 frets?

It's definitely possible. Someone here made a very cool 24 fret RX10D with pics of all the steps.. However, I don't remember who it was and the search function doesn't work for me.

You could do it but it would need major adjustments to intonate right.

a straight-up neck swap wouldn't work. Unlikely that even major adjustments to the intonation would make up for the longer 24 fret neck.

You would need to rout the neck pocket to allow for the extra length of the 24 fret neck, as per the link posted above

Just pound two super extra tall jumbo frets (a scientific term) into the body an viola! 24 Frets. But why stop there?
