I just scored one of the older Hot Rails with the lip off the bay. I think I'd rather cut the pup than than try to cut wood for the newer style ones. I'll update with a pic when it's all done.
    Cheers!

Madness: I love that blue Soloist. Is the pattern on it actually there or reflected off of the ceiling?

I thought that at first, too. Looks like a reflection, but it would be a cool finish.

I lucked out with this one no lip to cut.

Is that the newer version or was it cut already?
            Cheers!

reread my first post it'll make more sense to you now. It has the tape on the coils so its not a new one and it wasn't cut either . the wires go through a hole on the end and are glued down to the middle on the edge on the underside. I have wondered if this was an OEM pickup specially ordered. I just bought this pickup on ebay a few weeks ago. the only thing I have to do was add some wire to the end. I lucked out with this one.

Thanks, that's just the reflection of the siding. That pic was taken outside.
