Seeing that new great finish, I can't stop wonder why anyone in the whole universe would ever dig the original purple sparkle(?) blueish flat out boring color it had...

The new finish looks killer! Mark is still on his one-hum mission, I see

The first picture I ever saw of a Kelly was of Marty Friedman with a purple one. Ergo purple is THE Kelly color for me. Marty plays all gay looking guitars these days and I've got a lame ass gravure top thingy myself, Mark would you refinish it in Marty Purple?

I take it the neck pup cavity was filled with bondo, MM2002? i saw that RR you did. That was fantastic.

Man, I gotta tell ya. You always do quality work. Wasn't the Rhoads project yours also? But, what is that soloist I see in the background of the last picture? You making a brother for that one?

Thanks bro! Yes, the Rhoads was for a fellow member. The soloist in the background is Pebbers' axe. They just both happened to be getting white base coats.

                  Are you counting, Henrik?
Ya know, the truth is I just like making things different. If I find a cool 1 hum axe to mod and refin, I'll probably route it for a neck pup! :ROTF:

Mark, seeing all your cool projects, I want to be an apprentice at your shop, but I'm having trouble with the transport. At the train station I looked up the Skanderborg - Missouri route, but to no avail... damnit!

                      That'd be one crazy train.

Anywhere between $200 and $400 would be fair, depending on the condition. The neck on mine was made from an original San Dimas maple tree, so it's probably worth thousands.

She's all done I suppose. I opted for an 85 with the afterburner thingy instead of an 89 with the coil tap. Damn!.....when you pull the afterburner everything just explodes! The gain is just crazy, you don't even need a pick with it on....you just look at a string and it plays!
I ran the 85 / AB combo in 18V, and that was a lot to pack in a very tiny cavity! It was fun though. Actually, I'll probably sell this one...it's way too hot for me! :ROTF:

feckin' awesome. That came out great

Lucky you didn't have to contend with any pesky switches or tone controls in that cavity.
