  • Why not have an import neckthrough King V ?

I was really wondering about this these past months.

There is the high end KV2 and then there is the KVX10 and JS30KV on the lower end.

Why not have a mid upper range import neckthrough King V like the KV4 ?

Why not have an import, mid-priced King V at all?
There are quite a few members on this board who really hope that there'll be some movement regarding this and other gaps in the lineup at NAMM...

Yes indeed! I consider this to be the biggest gap in the import line by far. The KV Pro has long been gone, the KV3 and KV4 have been discontinued for a while... I think there's room in the Pro or MG series for at least one KV.

A few more days to what will probably be a disappointment. To me, anyway.
But alas, they never said anything regarding further updates, and Matt from Matt's Music also cited Fender that the RR24 will be the only addition to the line... one can always hope, though, I guess.

Damn.... just one new model. That's not right man.

Do they think it would not sell in their projections ? Seems like a no brainer to me if they indeed would sell.

One can only hope for the best now... anyway, we'll know for sure in a few days. I'd buy a decent midrange King V in a heartbeat, too...

Other than that, there's always the KV4 when they pop up every now and then. I don't see them to often though anymore. I see alot of Mustaine KV Pro on eBay more than KV4.

i too would think that a mid priced KingV would do them good.

Just glue some wood to the lower wing of a RR5, KBR, or RR24!

I did that once. Looked like crap, so I put an ESP logo on it and sold it for $800 :ROTF:
