Title says it all. Basically the local shop has a Dinky like this (I cant remember if it has a reverse headstock, because Im bad at remembering details, but I think it does):

IIRC the Humbucker has AH-2 on it. So any ideas?

Maybe a ps-2. Does it say performer on the headstock? That wouldnt be a reverse headstock though. Is it an import or a usa made guitar? Could be a bunch of models. Check out the catalog scans here:

I'm thinking import as he has it priced at $350... Also I know it doesnt say Performer on it... I'm puzzled too.

Hmm, dots and 24 frets, reverse head, interesting. Did you notice if the neckplate was a flat stamped one or a 3d cast one? Did it have the full heel cut contour on the back, or was it flat at the heel. Was there ever a fusion with reverse headstock?

I suck with details to be honest. I just glanced it over. Maybe when I get out to get the one pedal in the male tomorrow we can swing by the shop that has it... I'm trying to decide between the Charvel 275 thye have, the LTD, and this

I would go for the 275. Nothing fancy, but I prefer the full sized strat body. I have an LTD. It looks nice and is ok but feels cheap compared to any of my model series charvels. But I guess there are different levels of ltd's too. Bottom end jacksons dont do much for me either. Thats probably what the Jackson is. Is the 275 in good shape?

Write this stuff down and take it with you when you go back:

              Serial number:
6 numbers on the plate starting with 0 through 6 means 1990-1996 Made In Japan.
4 numbers on plate means USA made.
6 or 7 numbers on plate that look like 96xxxx means Made In Japan 1996-present.
8 numbers or more on plate means Made in India.

              Control cavity cover:
              San Dimas or Ontario

              Floyd nut:
              Through the back or not

If the pickup says "AH-2" on it, and it's a Duncan, that's an Allen Holdsworth model pickup. Those things are very sought after, especially on Ebay. However, I don't think it would say that on the top of the pickup.

A quick google for "jackson ah-2" revealed that Ibanez has a pickup called the AH-2. There were also some Jackson SL-1 references...

But either way, it wouldn't say it on top of the pickup. Very odd.

It might say Hz-2? Did the HZ's say that on top?

No. HZs don't have that on top.

The plot thickens: It does not have dot inlays. It has REVERSE Sharkfins, and they to be MOP, not MOT.

I'm starting to think this is a parts guitar. Dunno if it helps, but the neckplate had nothing on it besides the serial number, which started with 98 (sorry I cant remember the rest, I wanted to rent it but didnt have the cash).
