Wow, that's interesting. I just checked the newest catalog, and it shows it with the JT-580 like that, but the specs say it's supposed to be a JT-500. The catalog before that had it pictured with a JT-500 but the specs said it was a JT-580LP. Weird.

from what i understand Jackson has had typo errors for a while LOL i think they quit using the JT-500's after they moved production to Japan, and started using the 580LPs, and for 2006 they switched to regular 580's. something like that. i actually ordered one before my current one and UPS dropped it and broke the headstock...it had a 580LP on it. then i got this one and it has a 580. my buddy's has the 500/590 mutt trem and is Indian made.

so yea...Jackson can be weird...but theyre using the 580 and 580LP, and putting typo's in the catalog that say 500. someone needs to hire a good editor for the catalogs
