DK2 Vs DK2M

Hey guys,

I just ordered a DK2M about 2 weeks ago, and its taking so damn long and I seriously I keep praying my local dealer calls me and tells me its in.

Anyways they have DK2 in stock in cobalt blue (MIJ) with Duncan Pups at another store (chain store) than from the one I ordered the DK2M from, so I wanna know whats the difference between the 2? Should I wait? I'm planning on going down there and seeing the DK2 on saturday as they have inventory sale going on then. THey are both being sold at $599 CAN so like $499 (U.S)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh does anyone have any pics of a DK2 in cobalt blue?

I have gotten used to the wait. I have been waiting now 7 weeks for a Dk2s. I am sure it's not the dealer's fault. I don't know how the whole process runs from order to dealer delivery.

Are the regular DK2s coming with real Duncans now? I thought they were Duncan Designeds... and the trem on the regular DK2 is not the hardened baseplate like the DK2M has?

Of course I haven't looked at the recent models, but 2 weeks' wait isn't that bad. I think the DK2M is a nicer guitar.

Real Duncans, and yes the trems are upgraded (DK2 and DK2M are both in the pro series...but all the trems are upgraded so...yea)

so yea...basically same guitar, different PU configs and fretboard woods.

i have a couple of both and its nice to have the dk2m for the maple and 2 hums as a change from the 1 hum 2 singles. its worth gettin both. what finish is on the dk2 for the 599 canadien?

Its Cobalt Blue, like the picture above, i'm gonna go check it out on saturday. I might just get that one and still have the dk2m on order.
