would it worth while just getting one anyway and sticking an 81/85 set, or just buy a dkmg? it would cost £170 + fitting of the EMG's and £350 for the dxmg. the dkmg would cost around £500-550 depending on where i can get the 06 version from. naturally i prefer sharkfins over piranhas, though that carved top body looks tempting.

When did they switch from Alder to Basswood for the DXMG?
I assume mine is Alder, but maybe not - it was made in Feb 2006...
