It must be Nick's. He took those pics when setting it up. Maybe he "naturally" oiled the fretboard or something. :ROTF:
        HAHHAHAHAHAH

Wikkid fretboard inlays, but the body shape is just... not me. Kinda looks like a telecaster that got rescued from a nuclear holocaust =D

Very cool axe. I am in serious need of a guitar w/o a Floyd for lower tunings. I was thinking RR5 but that is damn purty.

The neck is sweet! Even though I have smaller hands, I feel more comfortable on a thicker neck, get less hand fatigue. It's not as round as, say, a Les Paul '59 neck (which I also love), but it seems a little wider.

Yeah, the body shape isn't for everybody. I love its sexy curves! It's kinda like a mutated baby of a Firebird or Reverse Firebird and a Tele, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Toronado.

Yeah, it is sweet, definitely a great alternative if you don't mind the shorter scale. I was expecting the jumbo frets like stated on the site, was a little surprised when I saw the mediums, but no big deal for me either way. It's so light and resonant, too!
I might have chosen different pickups, but I've always liked the '59 as a neck pup in just about any guitar (though it can be a little bassy at times and I do seem to prefer brighter neck pups like the Jazz). I've never tried a '59 in the bridge, but this sounds pretty sweet. I think I'll leave it stock. The coil tap switches are a cool touch as well, I'll probably utilize them more for clean tones, especially on the neck.

Thanks, Dave! It sure is a thick board, very smooth. I haven't had a guitar with ebony in a long time. This is definitely one of the best imports Jackson's done in years. The MOP logo and MOP/Abalone inlays are a nice touch as well.

                        Beautiful guitar. Congrats!
Is it heavy? It looks kinda weighty.....in a good way.

Nope, not heavy. Mahogany neck-thru/mahogany body, but the body is chambered and pretty light. I was surprised at just how light it was.

                            Nice one

Definitely on the short list - right behind getting out of debt

The Jazz'R I used to have had a Jazz in the neck and '59 in the bridge, and that combo was perfect for the body style (chambered and all that).

awesome looking axe, Joe. I've been riding my local Jackson dealer about these. They've already had a couple of COWs and DK2Ms through, it'd be cool if they could get some MMs in before LoG plays in here in April.

But then I'd probably have another must-have guitar to buy.
