What pickup was in it. Was it a duncan designed or a real duncan?

I've been saying this all along. I was mainly saying it so the price would be less than a DK2M.

Hey, I got mine yesterday and its dead mint. Its like a brand new guitar. The paintjob is not as bad as I was fearing. You can see the flames just fine. The base coat isnt as dark as the MF picture but its a darker, purpler type of red that the flames do stand out on. Im not too thrilled with the JB pickup but at least its a real Duncan and can be used for trade bait for a replacement. Trem arm is too loose in the socket, a dk2m complaint that Ive seen here before. The black binding looks cheap upon close inspection, like it was put on with some sort of marker but Ive always thought this about all the newer import binding. Overall a great deal. And UPS didnt break it!!!!

Ok, heres one that I think is fairly accurate as to the coloring and all. Its hard to get a good picture of this graphic.

Today I got my 'blem' with a similar issue. High E was normal, low E was so low the end of the fretboard was almost hitting the body. I'll be returning it.

Interesting, mine seems to be like that too. I dont know that its not the pocket. The neck heal is slanted for upper fret access so its hard to tell. Are they all this way? My floyd is actually slanted down towards the low E side to compensate. Normally its the other way around. This is a bit disturbing. WTF!! Heres a pic. The pic makes it look worse for some reason.

This is a dumb question but, I should send this back, right? I mean this is the 3rd one to show up on the board like this. This is some sort of QC issue, no? Or did a bunch show up at MF with warped necks and they had someone shave the neck to make it playable. The neck doesnt look warped. If I look down it without seeing the gap it looks straight. Seeing the gap tends to alter the view to make it look warped. Im kinda bummed out by this now.

Yep, that's what mine looks like, although my low E side is almost touching the body. My floyd was slanted down also, and just like yours, everything looks straight when you sight down it. I was thinking maybe keep it as it appears playable, but I knew it would bug the hell out of me always seeing the neck & floyd being crooked, and the resale value would be in the toilet if you tried to sell it down the road, so I called MF for return.

They were cool about it, I already got the Fedex sticker via email for the return. They asked if I wanted refund or exchange as he said they had a couple more blems, so I opted for the exchange. Can always return that one if I have to.

Glad my post caused you to look at yours!

if the next one is screwed up put a shim under the high e side, i think the problem is they shaved the heal wrong because of the countered heal
