Even if you just added bevels it would probably cover up the damage.

That is a beautiful guitar. Too bad about the damage.Scott

Well, it's not that bad and I'm beginning to like the red finish now .Cold Hollow Machinery

Glad you finally got the Pro, Uros! Congrats man. I really like it in red and I hope you will too, eventually. You probably already know, but pulling the J50's and the electronics and putting in some good pups will alter (improve IMO) the sound of that Rhoads a lot.
I hate to see the damage! And I hate packing peanuts, because they are no good for pointy stuff! I've had a headstock damaged in shipping this way too, thanks to these damn peanuts
During shipping, the peanuts will move aside due to vibrations + box expansion and let pointy objects through. Single boxing is not good enough either.

Thanks! I was actually looking forward to these pickups and electronics. They are a bit too low output for metal and if I turn the gain up I get bees sounds out of my Crate SS amp :/. I really like the sound when playing sweeps or tapping, but not when playing death metal style rhythm riffs. I'll see how it will sound thru 5150 when I get it and I'll decide if I leave them or not then. I have a USA made Jackson J90c pickup sitting in the drawer so I can put it in it if I want .
I'll remember about peanuts for the future!
Does anyone else think that these pickups are very trebly sounding?Last edited by Nazgul; 03-09-2007, 12:41 PM.
