  • Got my 2nd Dk2M

After seeing how good these guitars were I ordered a 2nd one so I can make 1 the workhorse. My 2nd one is white which is a great color. I love black too but its a pain to keep them looking good. I noticed the neck is way thicker on this new one though I mean really fatter. Not a problem but takes a few minutes to readjust. I always had USA's and the neck differences were minimal if not identical. First small dissappointment in this axe. Also the back of the neck is raw where the 1st one had a slick finish on it. Seems like 2 completely different neck feels but its still close. Just got it so I'm excited ,also put the super 3 in the 2nd one which is pumping out a lot more bottom end.

Yup. Why I can't use that (not available in "Go advanced") is confusing.

I was about to get one of these also. But they take a salty price from those here in Finland. Thomann is getting a new delivery in 26th of this month.
            DK2M in white is sweet!

raw neck, eh? That's interesting. Neck thickness doesn't concern me because even a "thick" Jackson neck isn't going to be baseball-bat-pawnshop-strat-copy thick. But the raw neck thing piques my interest

I played one at a sydney billy hydes that felt pretty raw, like my old dr3's. It also had a bit of chunk to the neck compared to the dr3s/slsmg I play that I really liked. Not the same as the dkmg's etc have tho. I really, really like these guitars!!

I like black better but I'm through with black guitars cause of the super high maintainence. I'd have to wipe it down every 2 seconds to keep it looking good so I went with white which was my 2nd choice color on these axes.
I'll get some pics up tonight ,its just another white dk2m with a pup swap and an ofr. Great axe I'll use her as my main player. Jackson hit a homerun on this model. The neck actually feels like a cross between my dk1 and my Charvel. Its flatter then the dk1 but not as flat as the Charvel. Perfect for me.

When I first got my dk2m I posted saying it was quite beefy, everyone said theirs was slim. Glad someone else got a fat one! My feels raw as well, I love mine, great guitar!

As a FMIC J/C cost cutting measure, Jackson Japan is using trained Beavers to gnaw the wood down on their necks. Therefore, the profile and thickness can vary from neck to neck.

                            Congrats on the grab

I got my DK2M a little less than a year ago. The neck is kinda beefy too - Flat and wide. I like it a lot. It feels a bit wider and more beefy than my DX10D. But both are very comfortable to my hands. There's just something special about the feel of Jackson necks. No other guitar necks feel as comfortable to me from model to model.
