So I went to look at this and was thinking I'd go ahead and do the BIN, but i checked what they want for shipping

    STANDARD GROUND $80.09 $80.09
    2ND DAY AIR $136.38 $136.38

80 dollars for shipping? and they are supposedly in the US "©1997-2007 uBid.com, Inc. 8725 West Higgins Rd., 9th Floor - Chicago, IL. 60631. "

there's no way in hell shipping is 80 bucks for this, I buy guitars online all the time, and no. nonononononono
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

80 bucks for shipping is BS but with a $298 BIN, you'd still be getting it for less than 400 bucks.

I've been watching these because I really like my pre 2006 KVX10
(string thru!) and they are dropping in price. But at $400 with shipping is still too much. I'd have to refinish it, that graphic is just too tacky.

I agree about the graphic but I'm confused on your thinking. If you don't want the graphic, why even bother buying one? Other than the graphic, there's nothing different from a regular KVX10, as far as I can tell.

Well, these can be had new. In 2006 they put a Floyd on the KVX10 so you can only get a string through KVX10 used. I do buy a lot of used guitars but just thought a new one for the price of an older used one would be icing on the cake.

This has been brought up before, but with the new models the only way to get a new string thru or stop tail King V is go super cheap JS series or very expensive KV2T.

You could just bid on one and not use the BIN option. I think you could get one for $180. With $80 shipping be into for under $300. Same as you would pay for a JS KV.

In this particular case, 'sucks nuts' might actually be a GOOD THING!! LMAO!
I have one- I like the inlay better than the 'decal body'....Plays pretty decent for a MIJ too. (I'm a USA guy) A few pics-
Mr. Lizardman (mr_lizardman)'s profile on Myspace, the place where people come to connect, discover, and share.

I thought about getting one to refinish with some different Jenna decals or something in the same theme, mainly because the neck has her heartbreaker tattoo on it and I thought it would 'go together'- something more like old fighter plane nose art- lots of 'em on eBay. The body and headstock are finished in a pretty cool metallic red- hard to see without the right light! I've been playing mine right out of the box and it seems the set up is surprisingly good- nice harmonics. The only other differences I can think to mention right now is that the Jennas have the serial number stamped on the fretboard more like USAs, and the pickups are a step up from what normal Japanese models have.
At least the inlay has the KingV sticking through the hearts! Otherwise it would be much more girly....LOL
I thought it would be cool to get a REAL Jenna signature on it instead of just the copy on the body- something that would fit on there nicely, like: " I'd lick your Tailpiece anytime- Love, Jenna XXX" LMAO!

                      Really like my JJ...

I look at it this way - sometimes cheesy is OK..LOL! I really like mine for two reasons: the natural feel neck and because it is soniclly different than my other stuff. Noticebly different than my King V Std Pro [Jackson pups and a 580 bridge versus DD's and string thru for the JJ] - not better, not worse - just different. Plus its the only new thing that I own!

If you have one of these, are you required to play it through a XXX amp?

                          And...

Don't crank up that XXX amp too high - you might "blow" a fuse hehehe. And what is really interesting is that from the few JJ's I've seen they have the following serial number syntax: JJ'69' 123...so immature yet so coooool...LOL!

I've always worried about that graphic - it looks like the pickup should be a cock.
