To the pickups, mostly tb4 is quite suffiecient for any genres of music, but pretty good for metal, and tat's why jackson install most of its guitars with tb4. its versatile though but bright enough. But as you are wanting a bigger output..u may try Invader, but for custom custom.. it is actually quite hard for us to control and get rid of its feature...The sound of cc is actually like the wood factory where by the machines cut woods...its too heavy and one might not be able to play as clear and good enough as its become muddy and unclear due to its big output.

Huh? The CC has less output than the JB, and it's got more lower mids and isn't piercing in the treble and high mids like the overrated JB.

The JB may be higher output on the spec sheet, but in listening to the two the JB is much cleaner sounding.

If passive then, I would go SD Custom 5 or a Rio BBQ bucker in the bridge, they both rock out!! Jack.
