Well, I don't believe the floyd on my RR24 is a ping, I assume it is schaller made and an OFR.

As for the paint. Well I did get a limited run "mistake" model.. There are indeed several paint flaws on the body (very minor, have to be up close). But the worst part about the paint was my guitar touched my speaker cabinet and I got a nice chunk of paint taken out. I barely touched the cab, so it made me angry at first but I guess it makes the guitar broken in.

Can't answer any specific KBRR vs. RR24 questions though, but what I can say about the neck is it is very similar to my LP Customs neck.

You know, now I can't remember where I got that info. I'd like to back it up with a source, but my memory fails me! It MUST have been from an early spec sheet or something on the jacksonguitars.com page, but the one that's up now, just says "Body = mahogany". The Morton sig is chambered and so was some of the Sweetones.

Hmmm... damnit, where did I get that info.... Of course, being an ALL mahogany guitar and weighing almost nothing, it must be chambered. But we need proof.

I wonder why paint seems to vary so much in durability. I have a KVX10 thats probably a 2003 or so and it's paint (black) doesn't have a mark on it.
I currently have it in my locker at work and it's a tight space to practice in (no I'm not actually playing it in my locker ) and I bang it A LOT. I've banged it on wooden benches, lockers, the tiled floor, and it has yet to chip. It's paint and clear coat seem to be hard as a rock. Go figure.

Okay, I've been in contact with Jackson Guitars directly, corresponding with Michael, the Product Manager.

He's a very cool guy and allowed me to quote here his answer on the subject, regarding the light body of the Kevin Bond Rhoads, production model from Japan.

I am sorry for starting the "chambered body" rumour, but here's to set it straight. I am very surprised of his comment:

Quote from Product Manager Jackson/Charvel & Gretsch Guitars:
Ok, it is not chambered. The reason its light is because it is real Mahogany. Not the imitation that others are using on imported products. (NATO).

Not only is it real Mahogany, its high quality. Very resonant. That's why we put Jackson on the headstock!

Sorry, Naz. I'm too lazy to read the whole thread again wrt. the trem on the RR24. Write me the (short) question you want answered and I'll see what I can do.

                            Jackson1-

                            Question thusly

Is the OFR on the RR24 a PING or Schaller?

                            Vass

                              ^ It's definitely not a Schaller.

                              Here's the question:

Where is the floyd made (no made in Germany stamp on the bottom) and is it the OFR or a PING (there's no PING logo though) or something else? People who have real OFR and RR24 said that the one on RR24 feels and looks a little bit cheaper.

Could someone point me to the thread, where someone (a dealer) posted lots of huge pictures of a RR24? I want to have a clear look at that tremolo.
