Jackson soloist pro VS Charvel 650 XL

Hey people, i'm deciding wich model to choose between these two...
Jackson soloist professional 1991 or Charvel 650 XL 1989.
jackson has ebony fretboard, 650XL has rosewood,

except of this everything is the same, neck profile and thickness,
body woods, weight, bridge, hardwear, and pickups...

how does the ebony fretboard affect the soung comparing to rosewood?

has anyone any experience?

I had to make almost hte identical selection, between a Jackson Soloist Archtop Pro and a Charvel 650 Custom. I chose the soloist AT pro because of rarity and the ebony board. In all honesty, I can't hear the difference. It's true. But the ebony is harder,and it plays more smoothly in my player's mind.

the Jackson soloist pro has the same active circuit, the same pickups, BUT, its written "Reflex" on them...and not "Jackson" as usual...

does anyone know that is this shit called "Reflex"???

650XL, easilly, because of the trem. Non-recessed trem = more comfortable wrist angle for playing, at least for me.

i'm used to a recessed trem (edge on ibanez), so the playability is better on the Jackson soloist.
BUT.....the non recessed trem placed high above the body, therefore the strings placed higher, and so the sound is bigger, louder and more resonant(as i payed attantion)...

the non recessed trem (and the height of the string above the body) isn't going to make the sound bigger, louder, etc. The string is still suspended between two metal points. the only reason that a recessed trem might cause a vibrating string to sound worse (all else being equal) is if the trem is too low, to the point that the string is vibrating against the frets. But then, that can be a problem with a non-recessed trem if it's set too low

btw Reflex pickups were an upscale option on some Jacksons in the early 90s
