  • DKGC36 Problems

I have a Jackson DKGC36, that was built for Guitar Center's 36th Anniversary. It's a beautiful Guitar With a Flamed Maple Top & Lacewood body with reverse inlays on the neck. My problem is that the guitar frets out at the 14th fret. Does anyone else out there have the same problem with theirs. I took it to my repairman, and they said that it would need a complete fret job to fix the problem. It seemed that the neck was not cured properly at the factory. Would this be an issue that would be covered under the warranty (I am the original owner of the guitar). I wish I could post of photo of it but I don't know how to do that here.

Your repairman is an idiot who is trying to scam you. Sounds like ti jsut needs a good setup.

Sounds like it has a high fret. A fret level, crown and polish will fix it.
Don't know about it needing a "complete" fret job though.

Hell, it could just need the truss rod tweaked a bit.

Take it to someone else. Always good to get a second opinion.

Well out of all my import Jacksons, this one is the only one that has and problems. I've been able to do adjustments on my own with every guitar I've owned (I have 8 Jacksons Dinkys) and I do my own setups. Anyway truss rod adjustments do not fix the problem. I was just wondering if neck problems were prevailant of this particular model.
