What is the deal with Jackson Dinkys???

Are they the cheaper version of the soloist? Anyone got any models that they can reccommend? Do they sound good? I saw some on the MF web site and they look pretty nice.I wouls still love to get a RR 3 but the dinkys looks pretty swell.

yes and no, i wouldn't really compare the two, they are separate beast on their own, but the dinky is the more economical choice of the two. dk2m, dk2, dkmg are some good models, not to forget the dk1. my dk2m sounded awesome.

the MIJ models pretty high up there on the quailty chain, but the the dk1 is daddy to them all.

Yes, dinky's are perhaps the most famous of the jackson models. They are smaller than the soloists and with a thinner neck. I have a DK2T and a SL2HT and I love my dinky better. They are usually bolt-on's while the more famous soloists are neck-thru's. Personally, I would recommend the DK2's. They are a dime-a-dozen on eBay and hold up pretty well. i.e. no major problems so far in mine.

Yes, dinky's are perhaps the most famous of the jackson models. They are smaller than the soloists and with a thinner neck.

The body size is the same (both 7/8" the size of a full-sized Strat). A Soloist is a neck-thru. A Dinky is a bolt-on.
