Looking for some information on a Dinky

    Where's the confusion? It's a DXMG body.
    It's NOT a DK1.
    Controls layout is wrong, bridge is wrong, pickups are wrong.

    Not sure where you're going with the "style" thing, a Dinky is a Dinky.
    From the JS to the DK1, the overall Dinky shape is the same.
    The wood, control layout, pickups and hardware determine the model.
    For you screw counters, yes, there are some slightly different heel shapes from model to model and then there's the arch top, but the "shape" is still the same.

      I'm sticking with my gut impression: DXMG body and KE3 neck. It's got chrome tuners. HH setup, Sharkfins, no binding, standard headstock. The only remaining mystery is how much he paid for it.

          Tonight I made a bone nut for my telecaster so I decided to tear down the Jackson I must say damn!! you guys are good especially those who said it was a KE3 neck... that sure as hell what it is.

          Neck is a 2002 9 19 KE3
          Can't make out the body date it's either a 2001 9 21 DXMG 10-1 or a 2002

            this reminds me of when I disassembled my DK2, I bought it new, but it had a DK2S neck on it hahaha
