    Hi Guys,

I`am new in the "world of guitars" so i don`t know much about them.

since a few weeks im the owner of a jackson guitar. I want to know the following things:

1 is this a good guitar?,
2 How much does it cost?
3 can you give me a indication of when this guitar is build?
4 can i use this guitar for playing rock&roll style?

i`am a complete newbie in this, so every help is welcome,

    thanx!!!!

Jackson Soloist Professional. Is it a good guitar? It doesn't get much better than this! These early Professional series Jacksons were on par with USA guitars and this is the reason why they were discontinued!
Check this for more info on early 90s Professional series:

To check the year when it was built, see the serial number. The first number after the "J" is the number in 199x.

Should work great for rock or metal, even blues or jazz.

The current going price is around 600$ on eBay.

Are you a beginner? This might be a too good guitar for a total newb on a guitar, most of us started on cheap strat knock-offs.

      Too good for a beginner...

Yeah, you need to loan that guitar to me for a few years, I'll trade a warped, high strung POS copy so you can learn right. That thing will damage your hands....

Nazgul...really? I'd jump all over one of those. I had an HX Pro in my old store, chose the model 88 over it to keep, but it was a tough choice. Would it be like the HX?

                  Don't get Proconfused

I like to refer to the top of the line Professionals as "PRO" to differentiate from the rest of the Professional line, not all of which had high end features.

Just remember this little ditty I came up with:

                  All PROs are Professionals
                  Not all Professionals are PROs

                  See http://audiozone.dk/index-filer/proconfusion.htm also

If you ever forget, you can always put "Proconfused" into the Search function...or Google!
