I've owned a Jackson for a long time and only joined the JCF to ask for opinions about the Christian Olde Wolbers signature model. But, oh no, I couldn't just nip in and out after asking an innocent question, you feckers had to go give me GAS and the knowledge of how to use it. This is a product of the JCF and one that wouldn't have happened without it. Thanks everyone. 
I'll forgive you that it cost three times the cost of what I originally planned to buy.
First for the (financial) pain: duty, VAT and clearance charges:

PICKUPS : Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2-7(Front) Seymour Duncan Custom TB-5-7 (Rear)
First impressions is that the quality is every bit as good as my two USA select guitars: fan-bloody-tastic.The wide neck is going to take some getting use to though.
Now what the hell am I going to do with the seventh string?

Actually, it got to Ireland in about four days, but the national post service had a hissy-fit because its value was over their customs limit; a paltry 650 Euro. My SO sorted out the customs clearance and I drove sixty miles to collect it from Customs instead of waiting for An Post to deliever it. I blew a half-day off work to collect it, but, oh-well, I've been waiting six months.
