              Thanks everyone!

I was hoping the quilt would turn out like Riverbed on the MM1. Oh yes. Oh yes indeed.

Hey Ken, that's just a killer guitar! How does it play?
Have you figured out what to do with that 7th string yet?

(Great pic-story, are you interested in a trade-in for the space-age guitar by any chance?)

Big congrats Ken! You finally got it! That quilt looks awesome! I also really like the reversed inlays. I almost took them too, but then I changed my mind cause the price was already too high .

What did they use for the declared value at customs? The cost of a guitar or the cost of a guitar+shipping? I'm looking at 350-370euros for tax and customs too (depends on the yen rate in next few months).

I don't really know yet. Yesterday was a blur of activity and by the time everything was sorted out, there wasn't much time to play. The neck certainly feels much wider than normal, but the back of the neck seems flat (like a speed neck), so I don't think it will be a problem. Fuller report when I've spent some time with it.

Oh, and keep your hands off my blue guitar. It rocks. Badly.

Thanks Dave. Your brother will have his soon enough, then you'll have good cause to be jealous.

Hey Naz. The quilt is unbelievable; oh yes.

I had to have the reverse inlays. Always wanted them! The Mother of Pearl they used is super too. On my USA guitars the main colour other than white is blue, but on the KE7 it has all sorts of colours in it. I'm sure it won't photograph well.

I should have paid duty and tax on the guitar+shipping+insurance, but because of the way it came through customs I only ended up paying it on the cost of the guitar. However, I did have to shell out an extra 60 Euro to a pro. to do the paperwork, so swings and roundabouts. I don't really mind. It was a treat and it turned out better than I dared hope. Of course I should play it more before I say things like that.

Thank you Mr. Burns. I expect the hair is mine. When alien civilizations conduct archeological surveys of the earth, the only thing they'll find is rats and clumps of my hair. It gets everywhere and never disintegrates. It doesn't help that it's three foot long.

I'd love to grab one of these if the price is right.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

You do realize I'm gonna have to confiscate that, right?... It will go perfectly with my 7's... (I know what to do with the 7th string...)
