Damn, maybe I should give it to Charlz? He's big enough that he could carry it for a whole set!

Shadowcat, you're definitely one of the people at the JCF that this wouldn't have happened without. I owe you a beer for steering me off the straight-forward purchasing path and into the Japanese back-water. Cheers dude!
Oh, Shadowcat, I don't suppose you could loan me a few quid, could you? It's just I've got a quote for a second Jackson Stars 7-string... :ROTF:

Thanks alot ken, I'm glad to be able to help (oh, and I love Guinness!)... but then again, my Rhoads wouldn't have happened without the help of Atsushi (QuantumRider). And all the others who posted information about Jackson Stars in the initial stages (NewC comes to mind...). I kinda felt like taking quite a risk back then and wouldn't have dared to go through the whole thing without the information I got from them.
Now I'm very happy to see more and more of these awesome guitars arriving and you guys helping out others who are curious about Jackson Stars.
BTW, I refuse to take responsibility for any 7-string GAS inflicted on anyone here, as I'm all about 6-strings.
And no, I won't give out any loans, as every single euro I'm saving goes into the "Jackson Stars King V Custom" account. And after playing a KV2 last weekend I need this one more than ever before now...
If it wasn't for all the studio equipment I needed to buy this year, it would probably be in the building stages right now.

Thanks everyone!
It plays great, but upper fret access isn't perfect (the standard Kelly failing). Has the same mad heavily oiled fretboards that all the imports do, but seems to be really well put together. No noticeable difference in quality from a USA Jackson, IMO. Iimpressed. But it weighs a fecking tonne. I'm really not kidding. This thing is HEAVY.
You should give a 7 a go Jack. Some things are easlier to play, as runs can remain vertical rather than having to move up the neck.

I still can't get over how heavy it is. The body is the same thickness as a KV2 (about 1 3/4"), so I guess all the weight comes from the extra thick neck and gigantor sized headstock. I'm going to have to start working out.
It's hanging on my wall beside the KV2 and it makes the KV2 look like it's an Extreme KV2. Now are these small... or are they just far away?
