JRR94 Continues to Evolve

My JRR94 is getting a new "shark fin" neck. I have ordered the gold satin Jackson logo (non shadowed) to mimic the look on Randy's black RR. I know this is not an RR1 or Custom but it has been a fun project that pays tribute to my favorite rock guitar player of all time. I am proud of it and yes...an RR1 is on the way soon but this was my first.

So far (in the past year) I have added the brass hardware (Budman), the RR nut cover (Budman), Dimarzio DP100 in the bridge, and new pots.

When the new neck arrives and I have it installed I will post and updated picture. Here is the guitar now.......

Please tell me either: (a) the new neck is also 22 fret and same scale as this one, -or- (b) you intend to either move the bridge (and the brg. pickup) about 2/3" forward for a 24 fret neck, or - case (a) failing, as an alternative to (b) you could make the neck pocket deeper and move the neck pickup instead, but personally i don't like having nearly half the frets into the body :/

Here she is. The new neck is on and it looks, plays and sounds exactly like I had hoped.

Sweet! What neck position pickup do you have it setup with? I have a beat up JRR94, also, and the stock pups blow goats.

It has a SD sh-1 in the neck and a Dimarzio DP100 (super distortion) in the bridge position.

Nice, i used to have a JRR94 myself with those pickups, (not at the same time, but anyway...) was a great guitar actually, sold it just becasue i prefer floyded super strats.

thanks! The guitar plays great and sounds awesome. I have many different guitars and this one and my self made polka-dot are near and dear to my heart because of my all time guitar hero and because I made them.

Where did you find a sharkie 22 fret Jackson neck? Is it one of the EBay ones with a Jackson logo added on later?
