  • New neck VS new Guitar

I've got a Jackson DKMGT with emgh3's and a satin black finish, The frets are quite worn and have quit serious fret buzz problems, should I buy a new neck and have it put on and set up by a pro? or just buy a new guitar?

JACKSON DKMGT (new neck) VS JACKSON SLSMG VS JACKSON COW6

    Thanks for the help fellas!

Sorry for so many new topics

Yeah, should I refret or new guitar? I'm kinda liking the RR24 now... problem is the damned floyd, I really nont know, I'd like a better quality guitar than an MG series

You'd have to buy an aftermarket neck or used Jackson neck, as the company won't sell you a new neck. But a refret would be cheaper, you could get stainless steel frets if you're concerned with durability, etc.

          anyways yeah, so just refret?

EDITTTT: A new neck is going to be 2x the price of the guitar. REFRET VS NEW GUITAR?

What are you going to do with a worn out guitar?

                you cant sell it really

its just what i do i like keeping my guitars rather then selling them off, if i were you i would get stainless steal frets like Inazone said

WARMOTH.........DOESN"T MAKE NECKS FOR JACKSON GUITARS

a good refret job, with stainless steel fret, on a bound neck usually cost 300 and up.

Um, why dont you just buy a neck off ebay. There are plenty of sellers selling practically new necks out there. The dk2m necks are all the rage now so you might be able to get a dk2 or dkmg neck a bit cheaper.

This seems reasonable. Just ask for a better pic of the frets.
