  • New DK2M at GC for only $268!

I don't know if this is a repost but my local GC in Northbrook, Il is having a "weekend floor model blowout" sale. They had 4 (2 red, 2 black) DK2M's for $268 ea. so I had to snag one!

I've had my eye on them for a while...always liked the "look" but the price was usually a bit of an obstacle.

Can someone shed some light on the actual model of SD pups? The Jackson web site just says Seymour Duncan without mentioning a specific model. Anyway, they sound really smooth so I thought about putting something similar in my DK2 later.

So, I don't know if it's just a local sale or not but I wanted to let you all know about the deals just in case.

Well, sorry about that...I didn't think there was any harm in trying to pass along a deal to fellow JCF'ers...but if that's the rule, then I'd be happy to modify or delete my post.

For that price I would buy all of them and resell 2 to pay for OFR's and cases for the other 2.

This is a temporary "blow-out" sale, at GC, so I don't think this counts, youngin

What you ran into was The "Manager's Special" weekend at Guitar Center In Highland Park. They called me about them, but I have a black one and a red one. Only the white ones really sell there. I bought the last Marshall Mode Four Amp for $100.00. What a sweet deal!!

Yeah, you gotta watch GC. Their "sales" can be anything but. But when they really get serious about moving out the slow sellers, watch out below! I've made out like a bandit before that way. Best GC blowout deal I remember seeing was a new RR1T for something like $499. If I was into pointies, I woulda jumped on that.

For what it's worth, a lot of people think that the Mode Four was a horrible amp. But I have 2 and I love them. 4 channels of marshall are amazing. Plus the are discontinuing those amps in the USA. They are only available now overseas.

I've only met one person who used this particular expression. My wife. She doesn't even know where she picked it up, but I suspect it was from her Illinois cousins. Is that windy city thing, or what?

Great deal, get one for the rest of us.
