DK2 Question

I saw on a previous thread that there is a DK2 that came with Duncan Design pickups and a chrome hardware and one that came with Black hardware and had actual Duncans. My DK2 has the chrome Hardware and the Duncan Design pickups. Is there any difference in the hardware between the two other than chrome plating? I have a DR3 as well and have changed it over to EMG 85 and 81 already this past week 85 in the bridge and 81 in the neck. I am going to switch the DK2 over to EMG as well there was huge difference in the sound. OD2 is very nasty sounding now!!!!

i belive the later (black) hardware has a hardened base plate
