  • DK2 with blue-flake-finish

I have a Jackson DK2 MIJ in 96-97. The wierd thing is the finish that is kind of dark dark blue with metallflakes in the paint.

Have anyone seen one like this?

I've searched all over the net but I can't find anyone.

I'll post pictures when I have the opportunity.

Sounds like "Dark Metallic Violet" to me,not sure if it was still offered in 96-97 but mine is that color.Does it look almost black?

A lot of Jackson's solid finished used to be metallic paints, with fine metal particles in the paint, that cause a "glittery" effect.

However, if there are large flakes in there, it's either an unusual finish option, or someone has refinished it at some point.

It is large flakes but I once i saw a DK2 body on Ebay with the same finish so I'm a bit confused.
