I've never played a Kelly, USA or import. Are they really neck heavy and hard to balance as some people say? I would love to buy one some day.

Mine's just plain black. But it's nice and shiney.

I think so. We talked about this when I got it a few years ago. But, I forgot what we determined.

Yes I've got one (us made) is neck heavy unless you move the outer strap button towards inside so that the strap wraps a bit around your waist and grab it a bit.
So the short answer is that to my experience, they are neck heavy.

You would think that Jackson would have noticed that when they first made them.
