I have a Charvel CX. They are like 22 fret RG550s. The necks are as thin as the original Wizard, but have a different radius. I understand Preformers had some very inconsistent necks. I know someone here shaved theres down by a lot. A shop here has a PS4 with a thicker neck as well. I also think Inazone's observations are correct.
