You can't go wrong with Jackson Stars though. They are sweet and I have yet to hear about a bad oneIn the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

Is it like, on the edge of the universe or something, or did you just take those pics on Mars?
jk, that background reminds me of doom3 for some reason $800 seems very good deal for that guitar imho."It wasn't the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn't flat. [ ... ]
The truth will seem utterly preposterous, and its speaker, a raving lunatic."

I have two USA Jacksons (slatqh, KV2) and a Jackson Stars (KE7). I love all of them. They're quite different guitars and the Stars has a ToM, but I don't think there's any obvious quality difference between them. The Stars has a plastic nut, which its only cheap odditty. I certainly don't have trouble with "heavy string tension".
Of course the real reason for going for a Stars is because of the semi-custom options. That recently posted RR2-JSP would have costed at least twice what it did, if he bought it from the US Custom Shop. My Kelly would have cost three times as much. No chance of getting either of them on the second hand market. If the semi-custom options at Stars goes the way of the US Custom Shop, I expect the Stars enthusiasm will end.
USA Deans come with a plastic nut lol.

So the thickness of that piece of plastic? hmmmm. Can't see how that would make a huge difference.

According to new Jackson dealer, they can not accept the semi-custom
order so far. and they have no plan when they accept that...

I tried to correct you earlier, but I guess you didn't read my post. Are you going to relist the soloist?
It's gone, I sold it on Ebay. I had it for only one week. It took only one hour for me to figure out that it was not the right guitar for me, and I took a $200 hit on it.
Talk about GAS....OMG.
What I really need is One guitar with a fixed bridge, and one with a tremelo, and nothing more than that.
If I could have any guitar in the world it would be a King V with a fixed bridge.Last edited by Brooke; 12-19-2007, 09:03 PM.
