Got another JacksonStars RR!

After getting to see the new JacksonStars catalogue with different models and price increases, I decided it was time to go on a used/NOS hunt. And I didn't waste any time...

New to my beloved family of guitars is a JacksonStars RR-J1B in trans black!

This guitar is so nice that german customs actually didn't want to let it go at first... I had to go to the customs office in Hamburg to pry the package out of their bureaucratic hands!

I already used the guitar on a live gig on Friday, unfortunately I haven't got any live shots since none of my friends took a camera to the gig.

But I borrowed a camera today and took some pics... please excuse the quality, as it is already after midnight and lighting in my room is less than decent.

BenoA, it is indeed a KVX10, an amber sunburst 2003 (so it has a poplar body!). I love that one, it has been my workhorse for many years and it is a real mojo guitar... for some reason I come up with the most and best riffs when playing this one.
I had a Duncan Distortion installed in the bridge and the strap button relocated to make it less neck-heavy (the guitar is as light as a feather). Apart from that it is stock.
Quite thin neck but comfortable enough for me, can be setup to nice low action without fretbuzz. The guitar is very resonant and the combination of poplar body and Distortion pickup makes it a midheavy aggressive beast when amplified.

Congrats on the new J1. That explains the mystery guitar. Looks well beside your semi-custom. Have you noticed any difference between the tone of your mahogany RR and your new RR (swamp ash + maple, right)?
