  • Seafoam DK2m?

I got a bit bored with black guitars and I was thinking about refinishing my dk2m. What do you think?

that looks too green for Seafoam to me, Mordor. But cool nonetheless. That green or proper Seafoam would look cool. I say go for it!

+1. The lighter greens always look nice... seafoam green, surf green, teal green metallic, sage green metallic, etc.

Seafoam looks nice, when I was choosing paint for my project, I was stuck between cream & Seafoam, I regret going with cream kinda, BUT i'll be getting that axe refinned anyways one day

Thanks for your opinions guys! Now I just need some paint and a bunch of sandpapers!
Some suggestion about the paint I should use? Is car paint good for guitars? Can I apply it on the sanded old finish or I need to sand down to wood and then primer/paint/clear coting?
I think I'm gonna order metal back plates and bezels too from Budman!

EDIT: I just noticed the Sully thread on the tech forum talks about paint too!

Seafoam Green and Daphne Blue are a couple of my favorite colors for guitars. I say do it. It's cool because there aren't a lot of metal guitars out there in that color.

I'm waiting for my friend's call (you know, I don't dare to do this stuff on my baby! ). He's a bit busy atm but I hope We can start soon. I hope to find the very same color in poly paint.
