  • I need your help now guys

I have the opportunity to have a guitar that I really want. I just want to make sure that I am not being clouded by GAS..

I can have a NOS (mint never played) Jackson KV Professional series Pro from 1993.

    It will cost me $1500

Is that too much to pay? I've been wanting one of these sooo bad.

Didn't they cost around $1500 to buy back in 1993?

    What do I do???

I really appreciate your help guys....

I think that was a bad attack of gas...

I'll make him an offer around for a bit less closer to the 1K mark.

If he says no, I'll just keep looking..

I wouldnt pay over $1000 for it... especially now that the CAD $ is worth more than the US.

The only thing that hurts you is that guitar is still available (albeit for considerably higher, no doubt). Yes, they did cost near that in '93 and earlier even, so you aren't taking a soak on the value actually. I say if it's what you want, and it's NOS minty, go for it; you aren't gonna get one in that shape (read new) any cheaper. Besides, somebody's gonna snag it; might as well be you.

Despite the age and condition and the same-as-USA quality, $1500 is way too much, especially when you can find newer KV2s for that. Yeah you don't get the Kahler or the "Dave Mustaine model" shenanigans, but oh well.

                              This is true,,

There are a few KV 2's in ym city,,both have been sitting around for a while, and I'm sure that I could get one of them for $1700.

I'm also curious about what will happen at Namm 2008...maybe the return of the KV1? lol..
