My PS4 MODS

just posting my new ps4 mods:18V emg 81/85's, eliminated the 5-way toggle and added 3 individual mini toggles like the charvel mod 4,EMG PA-2 pre-amp and man this this rocks.
Now my next mods are to get rid of that junky jt500 trem and add a emg SA and i'll be set. this guitar is a pretty good rocker for what i got in it(about $315) and i know that everyone is going to say well you had to drill holes but the guitar isn't worth anything to resale so i decided to keep it and play the shit out of it.

Some people may tell you now have a polished turd. I think these guitar have mojo. I had a JDR94 (changed in 95 to the ps4) and even with a warped fretboard I still loved that guitar. I bet it's a monster with those
EMGs.

I like the reverse headstock, also.
Is the extra battery on a switch?
Or is it running at 18V all the time?

It's running on 18v all the time, I just hooked up another battery in series. Ya i know it's a polished turd with the mods now but i never plan on selling it so i said fuck it i'm going to do what i want to it,lol.

Why would anyone want to slate a PS4? Okay, if it wasn't built in Japan then you might have a case but all of the Performer series Japanese Jacksons I've played were great and I can't tell you the number of times I've regretted selling my PS4.

That's a nice mod by the way. What does the mini-toggle between the pots do, coil splitter?

the middle toggle is the emg PA-2 preamp booster, ya i love this ps4 and will never sell it, i'll probablly look for more lol.

I hear the PS-4 has one of the thinnest necks Jackson ever made.
Is your real thin?
I've got one heading my way from a music store in Denver.
I figured for 160 bucks, how bad could it be?

ya the necks are super thin and i love them, the PS-4 is a great underated guitar

$125 for the guitar, $95 for the new emg 81, $35 for the used emg 85, $25 for the PA-2 and the $9 for the toogles at radioshack and i want to get a used emg SA for the middle pup.

I may be wrong here but I don't remember my PS-4 having a particularly thin neck, it certainly wasn't as thin as the dreadful Ibanez guitars I had a one point in a similar price bracket?

I've still got a Dinky Reverse form the 94-95 range and the neck on that is not exactly thin and it's form the same period as the PS-4, maybe a little before?

I have a MIJ PS4 and the neck is thin, very close to the Ibanez wizard, I'm going to do some mods to mine also,

On mine the nut has the high e string a little high, does your have this problem?
