The description also says two knobs and there are three knobs.

Also the colors are not right.

Where did you hear the rumors from?

Because it's possible that they re just custom ordered for that particular shop.

In the past, JS which had striped ebony boards came with MOTO inlays...they also had cheaper price, just like this one. Plus, these inlays don't look much like MOP to me.

What about the nut size?

Unless my memory is way off, anything that says "pearl" on the Jackson Stars specs is MOTO, and "Mother of Pearl" is really mother of pearl.
