    nice sl3, btw.
Yeah I prefer it now, simply because the Invaders needed a black trem to look right. If I had a black trem it would have looked awesome! But I don't so, this is better. I'm not sure if it's too red myself - you could be right. I've been thinking of getting some Blackouts, maybe they'd go better with the red thing....

And the SL3? Best guitar I've played, I love it!

You mean you never liked the red pups I had in there but were too polite to say? Hehehe, well, the red pickups were what started me on customising the guitar, but I have to agree - your red pearl parts mixed with red pickups were too much. Blackouts will look much better, if that mockup is anything to go by.

I just hope they sound good too, I'm fed up trying to get this guitar to sound as good as, for example, my cheapo Epi SG310 with a Custom 5 in it. If it wasn't for my SL3 I'd be thinking Jacksons were just poor sounding guitars. Last chance for the RR3, if the Blackouts don't work I'll sell it.

This is it all done. Having tried all the varying pickups, the Seymour Duncan Blackouts are the perfect fit. Probably the best pickups I've ever tried and they look perfect too in this guitar IMO.
I wish it had a 24 fret neck like the SL3 though.

Cool. I liked the look of the Invaders, but I think the Blackouts do look the best.

Ta! I think if I'd got silver polepieces for the Invaders they'd have looked a lot better, and to their credit Seymour Duncan did offer to send me some but that was after I'd already replaced them.
But I much prefer the sound of the Blackouts anyway, so it all turned out well in the end.
I can't believe how incredible the Blackouts sound CLEAN. It's amazing.

                    Thanks!
BTW, don't sell your Epi SG. Put a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge and fall in love again.

Hmm, I never thought about putting new pick-ups in it. I was going to sell it to get money so I could pay my DK2M off to my dad.
Thanks for the advice though, I will take that into consideration.

Thanks guys, I had thought of getting black hardware. Maybe I will at some point. I kinda like it the way it is now though, so....once I get the cash maybe I will.
