maybe next time around they'll get it more to everyone's liking
the day everyone universally likes one thing is the day empires crumble and worlds fall. its destructive impact will be second only to the day when i grow up and start making sense
I can't stop looking at the photos... the black/silver one is so sexy. Would go well next to my none-more-black COW DK6... *sigh*
The battery box is a neat invention, I always swap EMG's for passive Duncans like on my COW so now I have an empty box to use as a secret stash for my picks on stage...
I dissagree, I like it just like it is.. I( especially like the red one. I think the black binding is kinda classy looking on this guitar. I think the sharkies are a little much, would have probably liked the pirahnna inlays better if the had to do it.. But if I had the cash, that red one would be plugged into my Marshall right now.
.....because the already had Neck thru blanks from the RR24 already set up. Add a Floyd nut and there it is..
BINGO!
they already have the program for this neck. it's IDENTICAL to the one on the RR24. one program, two guitars. bam, they can make two on only one CNC line, they dont need to sacrifice one line for two guitars, set up time, different materials etc etc etc.
now it's beyond me, why the FUCK they dont do more guitars with the DK2M neck. morons
You can't play no muthfuggin' arpeggios on a tuba...
If it had white binding you would have a bunch of people bitching and moaning that it didn't have black binding or red binding on the red guitar. Its not going to appeal to everyone. I like it. I doubt I'll pick one up but I think it is a nice addition to the line.
I don't think ANYONE would bitch if it didn't have black binding.
To Do An Import Of His Actual Guitar Would Be Insanly Over Priced To Match It.
I Teched For Phil For A Short Period When He First Got His Red Usa Proto.
To Do The 12th Fret Inlay, No Other Inlays, Neck Thru With A Tung Oil Finished Neck AND CORRECT KNOB AND SWITCH PLACEMENT.... The Price Would Be Up There...no Other Way Around It Guys. I Think You Understand That...
They Did What They Could To Bring Something Very Close So People Can Get One.....
I Played The Black One At Hq Before I Left For Namm... It Feels Killer, Well Balanced And Very, Very Well Made!! Feels Like A Usa In Every Way.
If You Want One Like Phils Down To The Wire.... Usa Custom Shop Only Is The Way To Go.
You Can't Make That Guitar In A Cheap Import That Is Affordable.... It Won't Happen.
Great Job By Jackson If I Say So Myself!!!
Ibanez prestige s. Crazy hardware(zr trem), three pickups, custom made, 12 fret inlay, white binding. $1,300. Very close price to an RR24 and I'm assuming a PD
Esp alexi laiho model. $1049. Ebony board with binding with sawteeth inlays. Same hardware minus one pickup. Imagine this guitar with black binding. It would look significantly worse.
I think I've made my point. I'm getting sick of putting up with Jackson's little games like this. Always trying to encourage USA sales. No other company does shit like this.
Maybe I can understand if Phil wanted it that way. It just seems kind of arrogant of Jackson to make it with black binding after so much terrible response to the RR24s having black binding. Maybe they're making a USA version too that's more similar to his.
I don't doubt that they play awesome. This year I'm either getting an RR24, an Ibanez SV, or this depending on the price.
Anyone know what they're like playing sitting down? Does the wing size make it different from a KV?

I think that the only one here who has played one is RD...
