  • Decent Rhoads model?? Help! :)

Hey guys. Say, I am an Ibanez guy only because where I live Jackson's were way too high end when I last played. So I'm back playing again after a 5 years absence. I'm thinking of eventually landing a decent Rhoads V. He is my favorite guitarist and that V is so incredible to look at.

What model would you guys consider to be pretty decent. I guess I'm wondering where the junk ends and the 'pretty decent' begins. I know with my RG's I've never went with anything less than a 550. That's because the lower models had crappy bridges.

What's the scoop on the Rhoads models? School me please.

they're all decent at what they do. all the imports bar the very basic beginners line have duncans or emgs and decent floyds. rr24 has an OFR. personally i'd buy an rr3 or an rr24 - they're reasonably priced imports. rr24 is japanese. i'm not sure what the going rate is in US, tho my rr24 cost m more than a us strat.

        rr3 is japenese aswell

what do you want ? one hum or two ? trem?

if you want one hum get the rr24
if you want 2 hums and a trem rr3
if you want 2 hums and no trem rr5
Say, I smell bacon.Does anyone else smell bacon?
Yeah, I definitely smell a pork product of some type.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Let's not forget the Bond model. It's also an import, with neck-through, one hum, no trem.
