  • Mystery Jackson

I picked this guitar up off eBay about 5 years ago for $99. The neck unfinished. The serial number on the neck plate reads "931631". It's not painted, but texture coated. The headstock reads "Jackson Professional" and it says "Stealth EX" on the truss cover. I think it might be Korean made.

I installed the EMG humbucker, the single coils are original Jackson passive and are not wired.

The body looks suspiciously like an old Ibanez. I have no history on this guitar, just a bunch of assumptions. If anyone can shed any light on what the hell this thing may be, I would appreciate it.

It's not a mystery. It says Stealth EX on it, so that's what it is. All Stealths have slim bodies that look like the Ibanez Sabre/S Series. And anything that says Professional on it is made in Japan. And the neck should have a light matte satin finish on it. Welcome to the forum.

100 bucks for a Stealth is a steal. Nice grab. I love my Stealth. I had an EX foir a while but had to sell it. I still miss it. Nice thin necks and played great.

                Professional > USA

I know the Professionals are not crap. I have a 1990 Japanese neck-through Warrior. I think it was the the first model ever made, released in Japan before it made it to America? Either way, I like it a lot more than my American KE3.

Wow, after looking at those catalog pages from toejam, I kinda wish I had a Stealth HX. That thing looks like it sounds chunky.

The picture would be http://picture.vzw.com/mi/240155664_...border=1,0,0,0 and it tells me it's "temporarily offline".

Is that an input jack on the front of the guitar?
