SLSMG pickup swap?

Have any of you swap 81 & 85 with JB & Jazz or 59'?

Or is it just not intended to go with the passive duo to the slim body?

The SLSMG first came with passive EMG-HZs. Along with several of the other MG series guitars, it's only in the last year or two that they were upgraded to actives. In other words, if you want to swap in passives, go for it.

mine has passives, looking to go blackouts but might end up with custom/59 (currently distortion/jazz, sounds great)

My cousin swaped emg's with sh6/59 and he is happy with it. It sounds great. And he is using the battery pocket to carry his picks. (jazzIII's)
