Vs and bolt-on necks

Most of my guitars are bolt-on and they're all great, wouldn't change them for neckthru for quids. But it has always seemed 'right' for a Rhoads to be neckthru.

So I was totally caught by surprise playing around with an old PS3 the other week. Great fun guitar to play, I was really pleased with it. It was a Korean one too (12th fret dots were trying to leap off the board to get away from each other). And of course, the guitar shop was asking CRAZY money for it because it was a Jackson, so in the shop it stayed. $800 for a Korean Performer?! Even over here that's ludicrous. You can buy a brand new KE3 (with REAL Duncans) for $300 more (retail)

I had a USA RR2, and the bolt-on neck felt and played fine. It looked weird from the sides and back, as the design didn't "flow" the way it should, but there were no issues. I generally prefer bolt-on to neck-thru, but the Rhoads shape just doesn't look quite right that way.
