I did a 'vintage' job on two JTX Jackson guitars.
I used Sandpaper(s), Lacquers, Stains, and clear coat.








I went for reds and orange.
The top strings are raw wood with clear coat.

Doesn't look aged to me.JMO.If it were aged there should be no clear coat on the treble side and very little if any on the bass side.
Most of the "wear" should be more to the middle and treble side and not so uniform.
Looks cool in a way and you did a good job on it so don't take my comments the wrong way please to each his own.
I have been around the best there is for aging guitars so I am a bit critical some times when it comes to aging.

I tried 'vintage' and 'aging' but it kinda turned into this design.

I now have 15 JTX guitars. These two had terrible looking necks.

They don't look aged but they do look cool. Different.

It's kinda like an oily old gun with grit/shit in the hard to clean corners??

Before I did these two I bought a $100 pawn shop Kramer with a maple neck and scalloped it. Then by accident I came up with this design and used it on these JTX's.

I tried a fuller pattern but, I don't know??

Chicks hate it. They think it looks dirty.

The final steps, soft/wet sanding the final coats of lacquer and clear coat makes it look the best it can.

I will never use the word vintage again in describing re-finishing even though I used a little STEW MAC VINTAGE GUITAR LACQUER.
