  • Japanese dealer that may ship to America

Decided to try this place last night as they're showing NASLs in stock. They haven't refused the PayPal yet, so hopefully it'll go through.

I'll let ya know how it turns out, but so far it's looking pretty good. I prefer the "all online" stuff as opposed to emailing this store and that store trying to get a simple transaction accomplished.

Thanks for the link. I might consider importing a Stars to the UK, since they accept Paypal.
    Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

I didn't scroll through all the dealers at the J-stars website, but Ikebe-Gakki and Ishibashi did not have any NASLs. They had plenty of affordable J-Stars I didn't want, though.

34musicstore shows NASLs, but I can't tell if it's in stock or not, and their prices weren't that much better. Maybe $100 if that.

Newc I ordered 3 SC90 Surfcasters from them. They were great to deal with. Good communication and most excellent packing and shipping. I paid them thru Paypal using my credit card.

Cool. I did notice they have a note about no longer accepting CCs due to fraud, but hopefully that's directly as opposed to PayPal.

Just checked and they still haven't rejected it, but no confirmation email either. The order confirmation email didn't have an order # on it, and neither did the checkout confirmation. Hopefully they got it and got it right.

Good luck with guitarjapan. I don't think they've updated their website since the "changes" occurred at Jackson Stars, but hopefully they'll have the guitar you want.

Incidentally, Ishibashi have a second hand NASL-J1B for sale through their u_box website for 66.476 Yen:

Those prices are very high. Why pay $1800+ for an RRJ1 when you can get a new USA RR1 for close to that? Doesent make much sense. I realize tho that the NASL isnt avail over here so thats cool, but otherwise...

With the RRJ1, you're getting 24 frets AND 2 pickups AND a trem right now, with the USA Rhoads, you're gonna have to wait a while.

Wish I'da seen that at U-box first

But I'm not big on Trans Black.

I was going to post that one earlier, but figured you checked u_box; sorry. If your guitarjapan NASL doesn't happen, you can always pick that one up. The Ishibashi guys are great.

Damn! They refunded it. NASL is no longer available (which means it wasn't in stock).

I'd really rather have the trans blue, but unless someone knows a dealer that has one in stock, I'm going for the used trans black at U-box

Doesn't seem to give the option to have Trans-finishes on the WRJ2E. That Kelly bass is pictured in CBS but the option isn't listed. Or have I missed something?

The J2s only have solid colors, unfortunately. The NASL at U-box is an older model - the 110. Those had flamed tops/trans finishes but no binding and stopbar/TOMs. The 160 had Schallers and binding.

I'm passing on the one at U-box. I'll hold out for one in Trans Blue (either a 110 or a J1B).
