  • Meaning to buy this Jackson Stars SL-J2BE

Hello, what can you say about this guitar?

Looks pretty nice for about $540, not trem, EMGs, all's as I actually wish.

So I'm meaning to get it, can you please approve or criticize my choice?

    Thanks.

$540 should be a great deal for this guitar... neck-thru, striped ebony board, binding, EMGs... and STRING-THRU!
          yeah, what's not to love?

                That's my friend's guitar.

I had a beer with him yesterday, and he was lamenting that there were no bids yet.

It ended up being snagged by a guy who buys guitars cheap in Japan, then sells them for double/triple the price in Russia...

Ron, the correct translation of the part that reads:
                もし貴方様が「ジャクソン好き」であれば生ビール1杯サービス致します
                is
"If you tell me that you like Jacksons, I will buy you a beer"

He puts that in all of his auctions

                    Thank you, too late.
My compatriot bid it, I didn't have any time to be the first.

                    But I found this:

separanets, do you live in Russia?

The guy who won the auction buys guitars in Japan, and sells them under the name Tanaka Guitar & Bass in Moscow. Although he will probably charge at least $1000.

                      Yes, it's a USA SL2H, with serial number U1XXXX.

If you look at the Q&A, however, someone's offered him 130000yen for it, and the seller is considering his offer.

That's stragne that Tanaka uses a Russian agency to get guitars in that way. He has to pay a 10% commission and other expences in this case. The agency can't provide acess to the item for more than one of its clients at a time. So the one who bids first locks access for all the other clients automatically.

That proved to be too expensive for my budget. I couldn't compete so long. But I found this one ($571, but it now - $778):

What I wonder about is why this Jackson Custom is so cheap? Or it's only the name and the guitar was not made in the USA?
