  • My new Jackson RR24

Well I wasn't really needing a new guitar but I'd saved up some cash and I ran into this monster whilst browsing an online shop. I had to have it, why? Well: Neckthrough, Rhoads!, ebony board, original floyd rose, killer looks and that EMG aint too shabby either.

My first real guitar (after some piece of crap Samick) was a Jackson dinky reversed '94 concept which I still own and play regularly at home (it's a bolt on and the floyd's all messed up but that neck is great!). I wanted to own another Jackson but I'm not a one brand man, I also own a Gibson Gothic V, an Ibanez Giger RG and a Dean Razorback slime bumblebee. After all these it was time to get a Jackson again, and a great one it is

          Thanks!

As for the pics, the main secret is to put the camera somewhere stable and use the delayed shutter thing and NO flash.

Leuk! Looks awesome and the pictures are pretty good too. I don't live too far from Utrecht at times, an Amstelveen.

I want one of those too. I'm just trying to work out which is cheaper: import from USA (international postage + VAT + duty) or buy from a UK retailer (assuming they're in stock). There is (or was) a white w/black bevels in Leicester, but I'm after the black w/yellow bevels. That said, I could get to like this one with red bevels.
                          Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

"Finger on the trigger, back against the wall. Counting rounds and voices, not enough to kill them all" (Ihsahn).

I suggest you check out thomann.de, which is where I got it. They're not too expensive, fast and shipping is cheap (well at least to the Netherlands, that is). The last guitar I bought (Dean Razorback) I bought off of a dealer in the US, I did all the calculations (guitar+shipping+insurance+taxes+duty) and came up cheaper so that was an easy decision. It seems prices have become a bit more realistic (dollars come cheap) so this time that whole calculation was hardly any cheaper than getting it closer to home. Besides that what you want is US postal service shipping it (way cheaper than FedEx or UPS) and I heard they have some new maximum sizes which prevent shipping of very large boxes. But if you find a great deal, go for it, just don't forget the insurance!
