I suggest you check out thomann.de, which is where I got it. They're not too expensive, fast and shipping is cheap (well at least to the Netherlands, that is). The last guitar I bought (Dean Razorback) I bought off of a dealer in the US, I did all the calculations (guitar+shipping+insurance+taxes+duty) and came up cheaper so that was an easy decision. It seems prices have become a bit more realistic (dollars come cheap) so this time that whole calculation was hardly any cheaper than getting it closer to home. Besides that what you want is US postal service shipping it (way cheaper than FedEx or UPS) and I heard they have some new maximum sizes which prevent shipping of very large boxes. But if you find a great deal, go for it, just don't forget the insurance!

I live in the UK, and as Thomann are based in an EU country, I wouldn't pay import duty or VAT (already included). I've been looking and there are in fact some UK based mail order companies who'll do it for cheaper than that, so hopefully I will be posting pix of mine.

Hrmm, cant see the grain of the fretboard, looks painted, almost, heh heh!

I think it's the angle at which they sand 'em or something, you can see the grain from this angle:
