You should slap a DK2M neck on that beauty. I'd go with the Schaller TOM roller bridge and separate fine tuner tailpiece. What color hardware and what pickup?

I'm going for a DK2 neck. I think the DK2M neck only looks cool on Dinky bodies.
I'm not sure what color hardware to use. I feel like Black or Chrome would look awesome. I think Gold would look odd on this guitar.

I have a few pickups in mind:
        -Duncan SH4 (black)
        -Duncan SH15 (black)
        -DiMarzio X2N (white)

Actually, I am going to use a Roller Bridge w/ fine tuning tailpiece - I love those. I have that setup on my BC Rich.

Who makes those? I've never seen em before, they look like a cool concept.

            I think it looks great!

What method did you use to glue(what type) and clamp the veneer to the top?

I'd say black hardware is is the way to go.

You ever used the SD SH-6? I prefer it over the JB as I feel it gives a more ballsy tone.

Man, that's a sweet Kelly. I think a DXMG neck and black hardware would compliment that axe perfectly. Good job, bro!

I used Titebond II glue. No clamp, I just put the guitar facedown and puts weights on it's back.

Here's the site I used to get directions: http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/veneer.htm

Yup, I have an SH6 + SH1 combo in my BC Rich. I like the SH6 more than the JB too, but I have an extra JB sitting around already...and I'm kind of a cheap bastard.

The color looks lighter in the photos. The third photo is closer to the real color.

This guitar cost me a total of $260. $200 for the PS6 guitar (USED) and $60 for veneer, stain, wood glue, wood filler, sand paper, and laquer spray cans. If this were a production model, I'd be willing to spend about $600 on it.

Eventually I'll add a DK2 neck and a new pickup. For now, the Jackson J70 pickup sounds fine.

Should be a production model. Well at least the 1 hum version of a Kelly part. The Quilt is nice looking, and I usually don't care for quilt finishes. One of the reasons I sold my Dinky Reverse Quilt.
