Frigo, that predator has some kind of kick-ass pickup in it that I can't identify.
I'm going to post pics of it from all angles to see if anyone can tell me what the heck it is.
It's a custom job, with hand-written serial number on the back... or initials... I forget... but when I went "whoa, what the hell is this?" and took it out to see, I couldn't tell what it was.
It's like a squared-off humbucker with rails instead of individual magnets or setscrews.
Whatever it is, it's the only thing (tone-wise) that makes me jump and adjust the boogie when I plug her in.
Very hot, but very warm, and very crystal clear, even with the fuzzzzzzz
Someone has to know what it is.

I'm starting to change my mind about the trip to NH.
There is no possible way someone can appreciate that MANY guitars.

But, one problem...not enough hardtails in there.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I agree on the hardtails, in concept... but... find myself reaching for the bar all the time so I can't live without the option of a trem.

Most of what I play is nothing that "needs" the handle... but it has to be there.

Kinda like 4WD... it's nice to hit the lever when you need it.

And I drive a rear-wheel drive car in NH, so you know I know what I'm talking about.

it's rectangular... very squared off on the corners
nothing rounded about it.
