  • Question about Jackson Stealth

    Hi all.

My friend is about to buy Stealth. I have no photos yet.

    All I know is:

    Serial is 911893
This guitar has a maple fingerboard (!) with 24 frets (maybe it's a swap)
Body shape is Stealth - jacks socket is on top, under tone pot.

If I'll get any photos I place 'em here.

    Thanx for any help.

what sort of inlays does it have? Is the headstock standard or reversed? I can't recall any Stealths having maple boards, but at least one of the Dinky Reverses had a 24 fret maple fretboard:

Maybe it's a swap. I'm waiting for photos of that guitar. There's no reverse head, it can be DK2 neck?

Thanx for interesting in my problem.

But the serial number, six digits with "9" first...?

the serial doesn't tell you much more than that it was made in Japan. RacerX has been compiling serial numbers, so he might be able to weigh in with an approximate year

This is what came to mind at first:

But if it's a standard headstock and 24 frets, it's not a Super Dinky. Thing is, I thought all Stealth models were 22 frets, so your friend should try it out and make sure the intonation is good if it's a non-original neck.
